Abstract

We review robust optimization and adaptive robust optimization models for power system operations and long-term expansion planning. Then, we consider a number of power system problems to illustrate the relevance of such models using simple examples. These problems include (1) market offering, (2) transmission expansion planning and (3) generation expansion planning.
