Abstract

This technical presentation will discuss the disruptive changes being caused by hyperconnectivity and how it is changing edge devices’ security needs. Everything is connecting and sharing data. Systems that were designed to be isolated and self-contained are now being interconnected. This is driving security needs to the edge devices and platforms. Secure edge devices are required to function in tomorrow’s interconnected world that is sharing data and supporting AI driven machine decisions.

Biography

Douglas Gardner is the chief technologist in Analog Device’s CTO Office Security Center of Excellence. He is a security architect leading research and development efforts providing secure solutions for the IoT, control systems, endpoint security, and silicon. He has an extensive background in the defense and commercial markets in systems engineering, information assurance, secure communications, secure computing platforms, identity, key management, high-assurance control systems, and endpoint security.
