Abstract

Biography

Nasim Soltani is a PhD candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Northeastern University. Her research interests are broadly in the area of applied AI/ML for wireless communications. Her work spans through the role of ML in improving different physical layer applications including physical layer transmitter identification (RF fingerprinting), modulation classification at the edge, and signal detection and classification in the CBRS band. Her research also addresses deep learning-based OFDM receivers with the purpose of lowering the bit error rate, securing transmissions, and increasing throughput by reducing communication overhead. Her work appears in top venues including IEEE TWC, TVT, TMC, COMMAG, IoTMAG, JSAC, and INFOCOM.
