David Vozzola Establishes $125k Innovation Fund In Honor of His Father
In a tribute to ECE alumnus David B. Vozzola (BSEE ’63), David E. Vozzola and Doreen M. Vozzola have established the David B. Vozzola Innovation Fund to foster innovation, research, and teaching within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. With the $125,000 philanthropic pledge, David E. Vozzola seeks to honor his father, a proud lifelong Gator Engineer.
Philip Feng Named Inaugural Rhines Endowed Professor for Quantum Engineering
Dr. Philip Feng, ECE professor and associate chair for research, has been named as the inaugural Walden C. Rhines Endowed Professor for Quantum Engineering. The endowment will support Dr. Feng’s research program, focused on quantum engineering, novel materials, and nanoelectricalmechanical devices (NEMS), as well as the creation of the Florida Quantum Initiative.
