A team of researchers from ECE Florida and IFAS has received a $1.2M grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that combines machine learning, hyperspectral cameras, and minirhizotron tubes to nondestructively study root systems of plants.
In a style similar to TED talks, ECE presents two short, 15-minute seminars on Sept. 10. Dr. Sanjeev Koppal and Dr. Roozbeh Tabrizian will both present talks which explore their recent research in the areas of computer vision and nano-mechanical devices, respectively.
ECE Assistant Professor Sanjeev Koppal has received a $100K NSF CAREER Award in support of his work in computer vision.
PhD student Francesco Pittaluga has received a Microsoft Dissertation Grant for his dissertation, “Privacy Preserving Computational Cameras.”
